Review: BAROSSA

Have you heard of BAROSSA? I've been there 2 consecutive days last month. I went to the one at Esplanade first because I was feeling down and wanted to go somewhere so decided to go there. I went for a dessert because a dessert always solve female's problem, somehow, lol.

This Australian-inspired bar and restaurant features all time favourites from down under. Think chilli mussels with white wine sauce, beer battered fish & chips, seared pacific scallop with pancetta and steaks. Flowing from the beer taps are handcrafted lagers and ales from Archipelago Brewery.

This is an Australian-inspired restaurant and bar where 'outback meets chick'. The Long Bar was designed for you to hang-out with your buddies or BFFs to enjoy a range of craft beers by Archipelago Brewery. The bar also boasts a range of new world wines and champagnes, and your favourite shooters, Martinis and Mojitos.

It's unpretentious, laid-back and rustic ambience makes it the perfect place to chill out after a hard day's work and tuck in hearty fusion Australian fare created only with the freshest Australian seafood and premium grades of Australian beef.

Signature dishes like the Australian Black Angus Dry-Aged 30 Days Sirloin, Char Grilled Beef Patty with Crispy Bacon, Eggs and Roasted Beetroot topped with Herbed Mayonnaise, and Oven-baked Whole Fish are some of the comfort food you wouldn't want to miss.

Cranberry & Grapefruit (S$6)

Eton Mess (S$10)
Traditional English dessert with a mixture of Summer Berries, Meringue and Sweet Cream

First time trying a dessert like this, it was a good experience for me. The meringue was really yum yum, and even though I'm not a fan of berries but I must say that the berries they served is really super fresh. Perfect dessert after a long day of school/work for everyone.

Wild Wild West (S$24)
Char Grilled Beef Patty with Crispy Bacon, Egg and Roasted Beetroot topped with Basil Pesto with Herbed Mayonnaise

What a filling item this is! The portion is really generous as you can see from my picture above. I shared this with Yee Hwee, and both of us were really full by just having half of the portion. I must say again, the portion is really G-E-N-E-R-O-U-S! Do bring a friend along if you want to try this. I seriously doubt anyone can finish this alone unless you're starving or what la hahha.

Truffle Fries (S$10)

Lime (S$6)
