M16

Hello. Yay, I'm blogging now too. Had my orientation in NYP today. Went to register with Yi Lin and we got a sort of goodie back and there's an orientation shirt for us to get changed in. I must say that I love that shirt! Oh, and  there's a colored band to tie on our wrist for everyone, and mine was maroon. The start of the orientation was one word, BORING. The lecturers are literally giving lectures. I got so bored that when they say whoever is the first 5 to comment on the Facebook post will walk away with a NYP T-shirt which was limited, I actually went to comment, then I got it. After that, we were split into our OG. There was 16 people in the OG. We went to sit and thought about our group name. Names like Maroon 16, Maroonians, Peanuts, M16 was suggested. In the end, we all agreed on using M16. I mean it is cool, isn't it? Okay, at least for me. Then, we started with ice-breaker games like 'Whacko' and 'Blow-Wind-Blow'. It was okay. Oh, and I met Yuit Leng, she looked very familiar at first and I later found out she is a 京迷, and I actually met her before this. If I'm not wrong, I saw her at the airport when she was with Jeztine. Also, met this girl and sorry to say this, she is super irritating. My OG was so quiet when we were eating. Couldn't stand the silence anymore. So, I just started talking about random stuff, lol. Then, I went to ask the rest what course they were from, what Secondary School they were from, if they are intending to join any CCA, etc. Yay, we finally talked, hehe. Hates silence. Activities was after that. There is the water bomb station. I wanted to play but really didn't want to get wet. Luckily, this guy was nice enough to take my place. We went to the haunted house as well. Calvin told us about Uncle R and they described the haunted house to be really scary. Wouldn't deny that I was a little scared at first. But when we went in, it was like not scary. Okay, it may look scary, but a least I won't scream and push. There were other activities as well. After the activities, we went back to the hall. We had to fill in our GS Module slip. I was like super stressed okay. I mean they should have let us think through and submit the next day or something. I felt that I was already a grown-up person and did not want to call my mum to ask. I wanted to learn to be independent, however I was still stressed. Panicking, I prayed when others were busy thinking what to choose. Thankfully, I made up my mind. My 1st choice was 3D Forms Appreciation I, 2nd choice was Photography and Image Processing, and 3rd choice was Consumers' Lifestyle Study. Praying that I've made the right choices. We took photos with our OG in the end. I must say that I've got the best OGLs. Calvin, was super patient with us. I mean if I was him, I will get super irritated if my people is not responding. I can see that he is trying to build up the atmosphere. Serene and Jia Le is super nice too. Super glad to be part of M16! :)

M16! :)

Fun shot! ;P

Love the OGLs! :)

Shopping with someone special ♥

Hello.

As you can read from my post title: Shopping with someone special ♥, I am going to blog about it, so just read on. Someone messaged me yesterday to ask if I was free to meet up at Bugis today, even though I've quite a number of plans for today, I still make time to meet up with this person. This person knew that my Poly will be starting on the 15th April, she decided to bring me out to shop for new clothes. Knowing that I wasn't the type of person who would buy clothes just for the start of poly even if I could afford it, she wanted to bring me out to look for nice clothes to wear for the start of my Poly. Knowing I will be studying in a Design School, she brought me to shop for clothes/pants/shoes/bags so I could be presentable. She is willing to shop with me here and there even though I may end up buying nothing. She went to shop with me for some time and I only bought one piece of T-Shirt in the end. We were hungry and wanted to eat after that. I said I wanted to go to the hawker center nearby to eat as it is a lot cheaper than the food sold at the malls. So, I asked if she mind eating there as it was a non air-conditional place. She was okay with it. While we were eating, she told me more about Poly life and what will it be like in Poly. She told me to be prepared, because there will definitely have the good and bad companies. She told me to be wise in choosing the friends that I will be mixing around with and that I must have a strong conviction so I would not be easily swayed. She also taught me that the 5 friends we hang out with the most is very important. I may not know how you would have felt if this was your day, but, I can tell you that I'm touched by what this person did today. By bringing me out my seems nothing to most of you out there, but it means a lot to me as I know this person really care for me, and will even look out to the smallest details in my life. It is my privileged to know this person, and I thank God for this person. She is not just a leader to me. She is more than that. She is a friend, a spiritual sister. She is Muying. Thank you Muying. :)
