Review: Old Habits Boutique & Cafe

Hi guys! I'm so sorry for not updating this page for so long!! Thank you to those who still continue coming to this page to check if I updated or anything. Though I've not been posting anything for almost two months, but you guys still came to look at this page! :')

This week had been terrible for me because I had really bad insomnia, and I got headache a lot of times, sighpie. But, this week was good because I finally get to meet Yee Hwee after so long! I met her twice, on Tues and Wed. Impromptu study date with her, heheh.

I went again today alone. Everyone so busy nowdays and I'm actually those kind of person that hate being alone. But oh wells.. I read one of Naomi's blogpost recently on "It's okay to be alone in school." I'm not those that really read her blog, but after reading that post, I started to follow her blog. It'll be good if I can be like her, she's like so strong, independent and stuff.. I'm the kind that I need someone to accompany me all the time. It's a good start today I guess? I went to the cafe at 6.45PM and stayed until now. Alone for so damm long okay! Hahah btw, I'm blogging now because I'm rendering my works so why not do a food review instead of wasting time? (;



Old Habits Boutique & Cafe was established  by this beautiful couple, Don and Selena. As we entered the cafe, we were greeted by the friendly owner. The atmosphere complemented the vintage feel of the cafe. A pleasant setting for bringing your parents to have a meal and just hangout with them, and bringing your friends over for the ice cream too. They've open for only a month and the response is really good. I've friends who came to try too. Furthermore, they are really friendly.

 Shepherd's Pie (S$12.50) 

Tried Yee Hwee's Shepherd's Pie and it was really good, the beef is yumyum!

Popcorn Matcha Latte (S$5.50)

Yee Hwee really liked the latte as well, she told me to try but I don't dare to try anything related to green tea but it smelled really good.

French Fries (S$4.50)

I really liked the French Fries because it tasted like those in MacDonalds but even better because it won't turn very soggy after some time.

Hot Chocolate (S$4.50)

It tasted better than what I expected. It's not like those I tried before, and there's marshmallow inside!

Did my work halfway and uncle Don is super cute, he let me play with this vintage thing, called 

    ViewMaster, so vintagy, heheh.

Overall, I would recommend this cafe that Yee Hwee brought me for its atmosphere. (omjj reminds me of Peter Zumthor). This is a really cosy and comfortable place to chill at. You guys should really visit Old Habits AT LEAST one time because it is really good.

Throwback to the last day of term one

Hi guys! If you are always reading this page, I'm sorry that you've been reading the same old things for the past 2+ months. Finally am a year 2 student and I'm so glad I pulled through year 1 with the support from everyone who have been with me throughout when I felt like giving up. Never thought that I could pull through year 1 since I cried so many times over projects when I felt super stressed (okay don't judge me). Being in design school is really one of the best things that happened in my life. I could still remember how I first entered poly, knowing nothing about design. Slowly, I begin to learn and I actually learnt so much.. So much that I never imagined my capacity could take. Year 1 was really one of the best year where I get to meet so many new friends that is really nice towards me. Some of the seniors were really nice to me too. Even the lecturers is nicer than what I expected. God had blessed me with so many angels in my life.

Stepped into year 2, helping with orientation, design primer with my friends was really enjoyable. Giving out "study packs" to all the freshies in SID to encourage them on the first day of school is what I'll always remember. Looking back, if I did not encounter God, I will never be able to love others like how I did. I'm surprised myself that I actually wanted to do something to encourage the freshies, and even asked my friend if he wanted to do together. So we did 70+ packs just to encourage the freshies. So school officially started after design primer and assignments started to pile up. What's scary wasn't the amount of assignments we had, but the people that changed.. I couldn't believe some of my close friends actually changed so much that they are not whom I know anymore. It's really sad to see this because friendship is one of the things that I treasure the most. But at least I get to see their real sides now and I don't think I should waste my time anymore if they just treat me as a substitute. At least, I also see clearer right now who are the true friends that will always be there for me which I'm really thankful for. So much love for friends like Jingle and Diana. Had an impromptu photoshoot with my babe on the last day of school, heheh. Love how she captures all my candids. Even though most of them are super unglam, but I know I'm super happy when I'm with people like her. Look how happy I was until you can barley see my eyes, hahaha!!
